Surprisingly clean and bright pages some edge darkening; very slight starting on interior hinges some minimum spotting on early pages. "Nostromo, A Tale of the Seaboard," by Joseph Conrad. First U.S. edition, includes Conrads revisions to the serial version, but differs from the first English edition in punctuation, capitalization, and even paragraphing, presumably as the result of American editing. A scarce book, one of Conrad's finest, dedicated to John Galsworthy. 631 pages.
