Wonderful antique volume, .75 leather covers, gold embossed spine, vignette on title page, dated as follows: July, 1867-Decemeber, 1867, volume contains numerous interesting articles, measures approx. 6.5"x9.5". Truly a remarkable find - perfect for home or collection. . Condition is as shown - some wear/age, hinges cracked, binding intact with some play, some smudging on pages, some age and wear to outside, blue rubber stamp on some pages in top right corner, (see photos), 764 pages. Contains two of three parts of Henry James Jr.'s Poor Richard, and one part of Hawthorne's Passages from Hawthorne's Notebooks. The Atlantic Magazine was one of the most important literary journals of the 19'th Century publishing the likes of Twain, Thoreau, Emerson, Hawthorne, and others.
