Perry's Bible Manufactory, 1860. Full brown leather bible with decorations, from the mid-1800's (first entry 1861), complete huge heavy antique edition. Endpages are separated from binding as are some associated pages, all are in place. Binding has separated from text block, but all lays nicely together. Family section has full framed pages with 32 family photos which appear to be at least 100 years of age! Also, death and birth history section filled in since 1861. Spectacular, vibrant full page black and white engravings with tissue guards, including, "The Last Supper" frontispiece by E. Lachmann; art by R. Westall; engravings done by J.D. Gross; small foxing spots on borders of some. All sides qilded gold, brass clasp missing leather strap.
