Abrams, 1975. FIRST EDITION. Excellent condition, clean condition with nice blue linen boards and a clean, sharp gilt line drawing of Mickey on the front. The lettering on the spine is likewise, clean gilt, some small spots to the page top end when closed. Endpapers are plain white, without any marks, pages are clean. Original dust jacket, very minor wear to the edges. Written by Christopher Finch, this is the story of Walt Disney - from Mickey Mouse to the Magic Kingdom. Fully illustrated with Mr. Disney's own drawings in color and black and white, also with color and black and white photos. Divided into 4 parts: A New Art Form; Feature Animations; Live-Action Films; and, The Magic Kingdom, here is the beginning of the career of Disney and how he transformed the animated cartoon into a new art form. 251 illustrations - 170 are full color plates, and there are some large fold-outs.
